Commencement: First Gen Faculty and Staff

Dear PNW Faculty and Staff,

At our commencement on Saturday, May 6, PNW will continue the new tradition of recognizing first-generation college students, faculty and staff. If you are one of the first in your family to earn a 4-year college degree, you are first gen.

First-generation faculty and staff who plan to attend commencement can stop by and pick up silver cords anytime during business hours in CLO 175 (TRIO offices) in Hammond or LSF 103 (Dean of Students) in Westville.

As a special reminder to faculty, students LOVE seeing their instructors at commencement. Please consider taking some time to attend; it is a great pleasure to see newly graduated students and meet their parents, take photos, and celebrate the end of another academic year.
