Technology Day Showcase

The College of Technology is hosting its annual Technology Day on Thursday, April 24, 2025, in the Main Concourse of the Student Union Library Building on the Hammond Campus.

Noon to 4 p.m.

As one component of this event, there will be a showcase of more than 30 student research projects in senior capstone areas of study. Please come and explore the world of technology!

Technology Day is open to high school students, current university students, faculty, alumni and industry professionals.

High School Students (Bring Your Parents!)

This is a great opportunity to see the College of Technology’s programs up close and personal. Talk with current students about their senior projects that will be on display. Learn about degree programs and the many employment possibilities they bring. Discuss your future educational and career goals with faculty and academic advisors. Also, find out about available scholarships.

Current University Students

This is a wonderful networking opportunity and allows you to see what research areas your peers are involved with. Discuss how to acquire a minor in the Technology field. Find out about the Master of Science Degree in Technology. Become aware of cutting edge research that will drive your future job opportunities.

Alumni/Professionals

Explore and examine current research and technological discoveries by students and faculty. Meet with faculty and administration to discuss your workforce needs.

Student Presentation Display

Your Presentation Display is a succinct summary of your project that is meant to interest and attract readers, many of whom may not be familiar with your area of study. It is a visual display of your project and may be kept in university archives for the purposes of communication, accreditation documentation and history. A single project title page and a maximum of eleven (11) PowerPoint slides can be printed (on 8.5” x 11” letter-size paper) and mounted on the 48” x 36” Presentation display panels.

You should be available at your exhibit during the Thursday, April 24 Showcase from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Display panels can be picked up from the Anderson Building, Room 202 beginning on Friday, April 18.

Only completed, functioning, and professionally presented projects will be eligible for display. Thank you and we hope that you enjoy your day displaying all the hard work you have accomplished.
