CIVS Kicks off a New Project with Cleveland-Cliffs

On December 2, 2021, CIVS has a virtual kick-off meeting for the project with Cleveland-Cliffs Burns Harbor collaborated with M. N. Dastur & Company (P) Ltd. Larry Fabina, Program Director Energy at Cleveland-Cliffs Burns Harbor LLC hosted the meeting. Kurt Johnson, Power Station Engineer at Cleveland Cliffs; Joshua Davich, Process Manager at Cleveland Cliffs; Saptarshi Bhattarchaya, Principal Engineer at M. N. Dastur & Co. (P) Ltd; Anand Senguttuvan, Senior Consultant at Dastur Innovation Labs; Nick Walla, Senior Research Engineer at CIVS; Armin Silaen, Research Associate Professor at CIVS; and Chukwundum Uzor, Graduate Research Assistant at CIVS attended the meeting.
This project is to use our simulation expertise to help Cliffs evaluate use of higher H2-content fuel mix in its boilers. The project is a part of Cleveland-Cliffs efforts to reduce the carbon footprint of its operations.
