Congratulations to CIVS Students and their mentors!  We are pleased to share that the following CIVS Students received awards for their Student Presentations during the Days of Discovery on Thursday, April 1st and Friday, April 2nd.

Graduate Student Award

• Second Place: Saswot Thapa: Design of Solidification-stress Model for Continuous Casting of Steel (Advisor: Dr. Chenn Zhou. Mentor: Haibo Ma, CIVS)

Undergraduate Student Award

• Second Place: John Rosser, Nathaniel Doan, & Emily Higley: Design of Oxygen Enriched Combustion in a Reheating Furnace (Advisor: Dr. Chenn Zhou. Mentor: Armin Silaen, CIVS)
