CIVS Research Assistant, Aoya Sun, Starts Career at Goldman Sachs
Aoya Sun, CIVS Visualization Graduate Research Assistant, graduated in December 2020 with a MBA degree and a Master’s Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE). She worked on the Roughing Mill Project in partnership with our consortium member, U.S. Steel. Aoya completed her thesis research with CIVS and presented on December 3rd. Her thesis was entitled “Development of an Interactive Virtual Environment for Training Manufacturing Operators”. In April 2021, Aoya will begin working as a software engineer position at Goldman Sachs. In the near future, she would like to combine her ECE and MBA degrees to become an outstanding project manager in the technology area. Aoya said she appreciated the time she spent in CIVS under Professor Chenn Zhou and the CIVS mentors. Their instructions and guidance has helped me gain knowledge that will assist me in my future endeavors.
