Senator Todd Young Visits CIVS

U.S. Senator for Indiana, Todd Young, visited CIVS on July 6 to learn about the technological innovation and commercialization happening through the center and the benefits for Northwest Indiana’s economic development. During the visit, CIVS Research Engineer Kyle Toth showcased CIVS projects and demonstrated AR & VR technologies including simulation and visualization for safety training, blast furnace optimization, and other manufacturing processes. The senator tried out the headsets himself to experience the simulations first hand. CIVS Director Dr. Chenn Zhou reported significant economic and educational impacts on Northwest Indiana and beyond.
