Drs. Chenn Zhou and Tyamo Okosun To Serve as Guest Editors for a Special Issue of the Journal Processes
CIVS Director Prof. Chenn Zhou and Senior Research Engineer Dr. Tyamo Okosun will serve as guest editors for a special issue of the journal Processes entitled “Multiphase Reacting Flows: Modeling and Simulation.” Processes provides an advanced publication forum for process and systems related research in chemistry, biology, materials, and other related fields. The special issue will highlight the latest developments in modeling and simulation research on multiphase reacting flows, with topics in the areas of modeling and simulation of steel manufacturing processes, melting and smelting furnaces, reacting flows in refineries and transportation, reacting flows in power generation, and methodologies for coupling complex flow and reaction mechanisms, to name a few.
Processes is a MDPI open access journal with an Impact Factor of 2.753 aimed at the publication of research papers, communications, letters, short notes, and reviews. Articles in Processes span the gamut of experimental, theoretical, and computational research on chemical, biochemical, fluid reaction, heat transfer, mixing, purification, and other processes, including modeling, simulation, optimization, and control. Previous CIVS publications in Processes include “3D Integrated Modeling of Supersonic Coherent Jet Penetration and Decarburization in EAF Refining Process” and “On the Impacts of Pre-Heated Natural Gas Injection in Blast Furnaces.”
Papers will be accepted until June 2021 and should be submitted on the website.
