Changes to ChargePoint Electric Vehicle Charging Stations
As of January 31, the Purdue University Northwest ChargePoint Electric vehicle (EV) charging stations will change to pay per use. The final cost per charge will be based on the amount of total time that the charger is plugged into a vehicle.
Motorists will need to download the ChargePoint mobile app and create an account — complete with payment information — to use the charging stations. The use of EV spaces does not require a PNW University parking permit.
EV spaces are intended for active charging only. Non-EVs and EVs that are parked but not connected to the charging station are subject to receiving a parking citation.
