RE: Chancellor’s Welcome to 2019-2020
I was so pleased to see many of you last Thursday at the Opening Meeting of the academic school year. It was an honor to share with you an extensive list of PNW accomplishments from 2018-2019. I would like to thank you all, once again, for your hard work, dedication, and persistence. For 2019-2020, we have set many transformational goals that will continue the process of building a premier metropolitan university. In the weeks and months to come, we will continue to invest in faculty, students, and staff, complete the Nils Nelson Building, build upon our recent acceptance into NCAA Division II, and develop new academic programs including applied doctoral programs.
I would also like to share with you (see below) a message by Purdue University President Mitchell E. Daniels and Provost Jay T. Akridge regarding civility and the right to free and open inquiry within our university community.
Welcome Back Message from President Daniels and Provost Akridge
Best wishes for exciting and rewarding year.
Thomas L. Keon
Chancellor, Purdue Northwest
