Perseid Meteor Shower Viewing
August 12, 2024 @ 12:01 am - 3:00 am
Come see the annual Perseid meteor shower. Astrophotographer Bill Suriano will provide insight into why the meteor shower is an annual occurrence. He will also bring a piece of a meteor to observe.
Peak viewing hours will be from midnight to 3 a.m. on August 12, after the moon has set. All lights at the Arboretum will be turned off to maximize the viewing experience, so bring a flashlight if needed.
Registration is not required, but regular entrance fees apply.
The viewing will take place on the mounds, past the first parking lot.
