2023 Merit Increases and One-time Lump Sum Merit Payments for PNW Faculty and Staff
Dear Colleagues:
I am pleased to announce that the Senior Leadership Team has once again approved a significant salary merit pool for benefits-eligible faculty and staff for the upcoming year. The commitment to reward PNW employees for continually reaching new heights this past year reflects PNW’s financial and operational strength. In addition, early indications are for PNW’s enrollment to remain stable for fall 2023.
Benefit eligible employees hired prior to March 31 may be included in the pool as follows:
- 4.0% recurring merit increase (added to base pay) and 1.0% one-time lump sum merit payment effective July 1, 2023.
Managers will determine the allocation of the merit pool among eligible employees in each department and business unit. Supervisors will receive information from the Office of Finance and Business Services to communicate to individual faculty and staff members by mid-June.
The recurring merit increases and one-time lump sum payments will be reflected on the July 12 pay statement for biweekly employees and July 31 pay statement for monthly employees.
