Every class project feels like a step closer to the career I’m aiming for. Those moments where theory becomes something you can actually hold or measure hit differently. It makes the work feel real and the future feel closer.
I honestly appreciate the professors who facilitate our classes, as they are sincere and more than happy to help their students every step of the way with assignments and projects.
Beyond the level of interest it provides, I like my major because my classes have a student-to-teacher ratio that allows me to not be afraid to walk up to my professors and ask questions.
PNW is a great community to grow with. The campus is small enough for personal attention in classes and large enough to have a variety of events.
It’s possible to speak to your professors and get to know them and have them get to know you. It feels like a community.

By partnering with regional industry, the technology laboratories are maintained at state-of-the-art levels. The college has invested more than $300,000 in facility enhancements to its laboratories.
The Engineering Technology department has incorporated knowledge covering the mechanics, electronics and computer control needed to design and operate robotic devices into their courses.
Faculty and students work to provide solutions to specific industry problems while providing students with experiential learning opportunities.
Industry supported lab environments are equipped with articulated robotic arms, mobile robot-bases and machine vision systems. From autonomous vehicles to sensor-driven manufacturing systems, robotic innovations are at the forefront of technology advances today.
Signature programs include Cybersecurity, Mechatronics Engineering Technology (first of its kind) and Computer Information Technology (nationally recognized in information assurance and cyber defense).
